Chambers and Partners

The Chambers and Partners guide identifies and ranks outstanding law firms nationwide in Bands 1 to 6. Jobling Gowler’s Clinical Negligence department are ranked in Band 4 in this year’s guide. From their research: ‘interviewees praised the firm’s “very balanced approach,” adding that the “client care really is very good.”‘

Additionally, the guide names Simon individually as a Band 3 Lawyer. The guide says: ‘interviewees highlight Simon Gowler as “patient, understanding and sympathetic with clients.” He handles a broad caseload, advising clients on cauda equina syndrome, negligent surgery and birth injury claims.’

For 29 years, The Legal 500 has been analysing the capabilities of law firms globally. Last month it was revealed that Jobling Gowler Solicitors was, once again, ranked as a leading firm in the area of Clinical Negligence. “The team is adept at handling complex claims including claims following birth injury, spinal injury or unnecessary fatalities.” The guide describes us as “a niche firm that is a match for the bigger firms.”

Simon Gowler and Gill Peate have also been individually recommended in the guide. Simon has recently achieved the largest known settlement for a cauda equina clinical negligence case. He is also a specialist in orthopaedic negligence and amputations. The guide praises Gill for her fresh and innovative approach to client matters, a skill which has allowed her to achieve success on cases where other high-ranking firms have failed. She has a specialist interest in acquired brain injury.

In November, Jobling Gowler received the Symphony Legal Niche Law Firm/Specialist Team of the Year award.
