All our medical negligence solicitors have achieved membership of the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel during their careers.

Medical Negligence Case Types

We are able to offer you advice and representation in all types of medical negligence cases including:

Birth Injury and Cerebral Palsy

We have considerable experience of investigating and settling birth injury and cerebral palsy claims. Our solicitors have recovered millions of pounds in compensation for children and young adults who have been injured at birth. We understand the devastating impact of such injuries upon the whole family. We will work with you to ensure that claims are investigated thoroughly and promptly and we will listen to your needs. We will also work with you to achieve the best result possible and to give you complete peace of mind. We are able to offer you practical and legal assistance after settlement in dealing with the Court of Protection (who manage the affairs of the young and vulnerable) and obtaining appropriate investment advice.

Brain and Spinal Injury

Our solicitors have handled numerous cases of acquired brain and spinal injury including cauda equina claims. We understand the particular needs of the individual and their family following such an injury.

Surgery

Sometimes things go wrong during operations. This can be due to problems with the anaesthetic, problems with equipment or error on the part of the surgical team. We have recovered compensation for clients who have suffered injury as a result of substandard care during surgery of all types.

Cancer

We understand how devastating it must be to be diagnosed with cancer. Sometimes clients feel there has been a delay in making the diagnosis and starting treatment. We have experience in investigating the care leading up to the diagnosis of cancer, the treatment of the cancer and the effect of any delay upon the prognosis. We will help identify where tests and scans may have been wrongly reported and there have been delays in diagnosis or occasionally a misdiagnosis has been made. We will help you recover compensation accordingly.

Orthopaedic and Amputation Cases

We have experience of orthopaedic and amputation cases. We understand that any amputation has a significant physical and emotional impact upon the client. Through our knowledge and experience we can help identify areas of negligence and areas in which compensation can be obtained including cutting edge aids and equipment and prosthetics to improve your quality of life.

NHS and Private Hospital Treatment

Patients are entitled to the same standard of care by those treating them whether that care is provided by the National Health Service or whether they have paid for this care privately. We have considerable experience of claims involving all types of hospital treatment and will help you to obtain compensation where appropriate. If you have paid for your hospital treatment privately we will also seek that you be reimbursed for the cost of your treatment in addition to any compensation.

General Practitioners

Your GP is very often the first member of the medical profession whom you see for advice or treatment about a particular medical complaint. We have considerable experience of dealing with claims where general practitioners have delayed in referring clients to appropriate experts for treatment or where a misdiagnosis has been made. We are also able to assist you in cases involving the actions of the GP staff including practice nurses.

Fatal Claims and Inquests

We are able to assist you in cases where a loved one has died as a result of negligent medical treatment. In addition to the overwhelming sense of loss we understand that there is often a significant financial loss to a family as a result of their loved one’s death and we can help you obtain compensation where appropriate.

In certain circumstances where an unexpected death occurs a Coroner will hold an Inquest. We have experience of representing families at Inquests and can offer you support in dealing with the process. Not every case which is investigated by the Coroner at Inquest will result in a successful clinical negligence claim, but often representation at an Inquest can assist in making an early determination of the likelihood of success in pursuing a clinical negligence claim.
